Every new project challenges us to minimise energy waste. We are currently in the design stages of a challenging contract in Antarctica. Our contract is to create and install appropriate energy saving systems within a new operational building and in the refurbishment of the existing British Antarctic Survey research station.
Challenges are many. Access is limited by extreme conditions to six months per year. Operational logistics are demanding. Energy resources are finite and must be monitored precisely. Our installation staff must be prepared physically and mentally for a prolonged enforced stay in such a remote environment.
